about

Lonely are they, who see only iron gray.
Never knew where I was born. Never knew where I belonged.

'Twas the lot that the gods had given to me.

Eons go by, but there's no way to measure time.
Ghoulish promenade. Only others were shriveled and decayed.

Spending hours, among the silent trees.
Reading of people, of whom I wished to be.

This darkness I must flee. My visions seem like memories.
Forgotten, ancient road. Yet I, knew which way to go.

Lunar radiance, the kind one only sees in dreams.
Slabs of marble, shine in the moonlight spectrally.

Approaching a castle, utterly confused. Moat was filled in, towers not in use. Voices singing, a merry company. I drew closer upon a nightmare scene. All were screaming, covering their eyes. By myself, with the fading of their cries.

Losing balance, is this a fever dream?
Dripping putrescence, a being most obscene.

Falling forward, I touched the creature's hand. Gazed at each other, then I turned and ran. All that roam the night shall come at my command. I am The Outsider, and we both understand. Abomination, abhorrent travesty. It is my fate, I accept it bitterly.

Desecration, I feast on those who've died.
Unclean, unwholesome, that which the Earth should always hide.

It's now becoming clearer, my fingers touched a mirror.
I don't care where I was born. Now I know where I belong.

Realization, of that which I did see.
'Twas the lot that the gods had given to me.

Our goal was not to reinvent the wheel, rather to create the music we wanted to hear. Hence the name Cruthu, Gaelic for creation. ... more
